Knowledgeable court clerks are at the core of any successful, efficient tribal court. As a response to the growing needs of tribes and a specific request from FY 2016 CTAS Purpose Area 3 grantees this training will cover 1) court clerk basics and introductory material; 2) specific processes of taking a case from beginning to end in tribal court; 3) skills for managing, evaluating, and auditing cases; 4) Is your courtroom properly set up and safe; 5) How to avoid conflicts of interest when servicing in dual roles within the tribe and the court. Trainer Ramona Tsosie was specifically requested for this training.
