The NRTAC team would like to host an interactive Zoom webinar to bring together Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) both research partners and crime analysts as a way to strengthen the CGIC research community of practice. The Research, Evaluation and Measures for CGICs: Best Practices and Lessons-learned Webinar will:
• Provide new CGIC sites with information about evaluating CGIC projects and the collection of performance measures;
• Provide lessons-learned from early evaluations;
• Provide researchers and analysts with an understanding of what is expected by BJA during the course the Local Law Enforcement CGIC Integration Initiative; and to
• Strengthen the research community of practice for CGIC sustainability.
The webinar will be presented by Craig Uchida (research partner for Los Angeles and Baltimore) and Natalie Kroovand Hipple (research partner for Indianapolis) followed by a facilitated and engaged discussion around best practices and lessons learned. Topics to be presented and discussed will include, but not be limited to: the CGIC process; impact and outcome; what is needed for success (data, technology, and people); evaluation plan and expectations; and training and technical assistance.
