South Carolina Alcohol and Drug Academy requested a presentation for a conference to be held May 16-19, 2021. Center staff met with them to identify topics of interest and narrow to two session to be presented during the conference: "Before, During and After Treatment: Best Practices and Promising Approaches in Peer Recovery Support, " and Mapping for Good: Using GIS Mapping to Better Understand, Plan, Evaluate and Communicate.”

Conference will be held in person, if at all possible, May 16-19, 2021 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Call with requestor to discuss and finalize the content areas for the two requested 75-minute sessions. May 17, 3:30 - 5 pm: Before, During, and After Treatment: Best Practices and Promising Approaches in Peer Recovery Support. May 19, 8:30 - 10 am: Mapping Recovery Resources: Using Data to Promote Recovery-rich Communities. Altarum will submit descriptions and objectives to conference organizers by Friday, November 13.

Conference is in-person only. BJA funds could not be used for travel due to COVID-19. We will discuss presenting at next year's conference at a later date, TBD.
