The National PREA Coordinators Working Group has partnered with the PREA Resource Center for the virtual component of the 2021 National PREA Coordinators conference. The 8 hour virtual event will be held on August 11, 2021and will consist of panel presentations, Q&A, and other practical content. Due to Covid, this conference will be held both in person and virtually as part of the American Correctional Association Summer Conference scheduled for August 11- 17, 2021. Due to Impact Justice and BJA travel restrictions for staff, PRC will host the one day virtual event. This annual conference is for PREA Coordinators and their staff across the United States to learn and share the latest trends in PREA implementation and compliance.

On May 25, 2021, a survey was sent to all National PREA Working Group Members to gather their preferences on conference content, etc. 50 unique responses were received (2 duplicates). 47 agencies represented; 39 States represented, plus: DC, Federal BOP, 2 Territories, and 1 private agency. Next steps are to determine the top agenda priorities, then proceed to start the build into our conference software platform, including reaching out to potential panelists to gather scheduling preferences for all presenters.
