The conference program provides training for all government attorneys involved in prosecuting capital cases: including trial, appellate, post-conviction, and habeas prosecutors. There will something for beginning prosecutors to seasoned veterans. APA previously partnered with AGACL to great success during their summer conference in 2022, and so we are continuing the partnership this year to bring capital case training to prosecutors nationwide.

APA will provide the following support: in-person staff assistance (5 staff) with run of show; Zoom accounts for the virtual conference component, which APA staff will set up and monitor; equipment assistance for broadcast; pre- and post-survey instrument creation (with RTI) and dissemination; scholarship assistance (hotel and economy-class travel) for capital prosecutors who cannot otherwise afford to attend; and assistance with hotel and economy-class travel for several presenters.
