The PDMP TTAC team routinely provides technical assistance to stakeholders in response to requests for information or to facilitate peer-to-peer communication. These activities help identify potential resources and TTA needs as PDMPs evolve, allowing the PDMP TTAC team to proactively develop and provide the most efficient and effective methods of delivery. During this reporting period, PDMP TTAC staff members provided technical assistance in response to 125 requests, covering a wide range of issues, including interstate data sharing, health care record integration, assistance to PDMPs undergoing state program audits, PDMP funding, alternate data sources, patient matching, overdose fatality review teams, state profiles, law enforcement access, compliance, and error resolution. The TTA was delivered in a variety of formats, including conference calls, detailed emails, research documents, webinars, and virtual meetings.
Resources developed during the reporting period in support of PDMPs include the following:
• Guidance documents: “Directory of PDMP Internet Sites” (February 2023); “RxCheck Promotional Flyer” (February 2023); “Overview of Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs” (March 2023); “Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Research Requests” (March 2023); and “2022 Summary of Bills and Regulations” (March 2023).

• Webinars: “Using the CDC WONDER Database” (February 2023); “Academic Detailing for PDMPs” (March 2023).
