CSG Justice Center and OJJDP conducted a site visit with the FY20 Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. The site visit was conducted to learn onsite about all aspect of the program, including parenting program, virtual reality visiting program, community support services, and evaluation. During the first day of the site visit, meetings were held at the PADOC headquarters with the Acting Secretary, Dr. Laurel Harry, Project Director, Point of Contacts, and Authorized Representatives. Program goals and objectives were reviewed. Staff meet with community providers to discuss community programs. During the second day of the site visit, a morning meeting was held at the PADOC headquarters with program evaluators from Penn State and then team drove to SCI Frackville to observe the Inside Out Dads Program, speak with incarcerated fathers about their experience in the program, and receive a tour of the facility. Staff also were able to engage with virtual reality component and speak with staff that are responsible for facilitating program. During the third day of the site visit, meetings were held at the PADOC headquarters to discuss final questions, comments, and observations during the site visit.
