Overview

The National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) works to promote a balanced approach to communities’ complex public safety, criminal, and juvenile justice system problems. The NCJA offers a number of different opportunities to enhance the professional development of state and local criminal and juvenile justice decisionmakers and policymakers through both educational training and events. NCJA also promotes a variety of events and conferences, all designed to increase networking opportunities and to foster the exchange of valuable knowledge and skills.

NCJA also facilitates information sharing across a network of state, tribal, and local justice and public safety information-sharing practitioners committed to increasing local, regional, and national sharing of justice information through peer collaboration and facilitation. The goals of this collaboration include improving the capacity and management of information-sharing efforts nationwide by facilitating communication among justice technology practitioners and managers, sharing resources, offering and facilitating training and technical assistance, and providing guidance and direction regarding standards and model approaches.
