NW3C plans to send two staff to attend and to participate in the IADLEST Partner Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting.
NW3C was asked to send one staff to attend event. This is a one day event providing pertinent information and training for professionals in West Virginia on the investigation, prosecution, and resolution of child maltreatment cases. Included in the training will be updates and new developments in law enforcement, prosecution, child protection and medical treatment. CEU’s requested for Law Enforcement, Attorneys, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing and Addiction/Treatment.
NW3C has been requested to send staff to attend the conference as well as to conduct presentations. The IACP Technology Conference is a professional law enforcement event bringing together leading practitioners to explore unlimited opportunities for law enforcement to apply the latest technology to create efficient solutions to old problems and to keep pace with sophisticated cyber-enabled crimes. Last year's conference featured 750 attendees, 40+ educational presentations, and 75 industry leading exhibitors.

NW3C has been requested to send one staff to attend and collect data that can be incorporated into curriculum. Additionally, NW3C's staff will conduct a presentation on "Business Email Compromise, A Collaborative Approach for Success."
NW3C plans to send two staff to the 30th Annual Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Global Fraud Conference. The ACFE administers the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential, which denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection, deterrence and investigation. CFEs must meet stringent academic, professional and character requirements; comply with the ACFE Code of Professional Ethics; and continually build their skills through ongoing professional education.
NW3C plans to send five staff to the 2019 National Sheriffs' Association (NSA) Annual Conference. There are over 60 seminars and workshops covering all aspects of the duties and responsibilities for a sheriffs office or sheriff department, including, but not limited to law enforcement, jail operations, service of process, prisoner transportation, court security, and judicial security.
NW3C plans to send two staff to the Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference. Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference provides a unique education experience that blends together the digital forensics and cybersecurity industries for collaboration between government and private sectors. The purpose is to raise international awareness of developments, teaching, training, responsibilities, and ethics in the field of IT security and digital forensics.
