This is a series of regular interactive Zoom roundtables to bring together different functions from across CGIC sites, including prosecutors, crime analysts, investigators/CGIC site leads as a way to strengthen the CGIC community of practice. Facilities must undergo formal PREA compliance audits once during each three-year audit cycle in order to remain compliant with PREA. This interactive workshop will give agency and facility staff assigned to PREA-related duties for all confinement types an opportunity to learn about and discuss the Department of Justice (DOJ) PREA Auditor Handbook (Handbook), which is a critical audit preparation resource that many practitioners overlook, assuming it is only helpful to auditors. This virtual workshop is designed to assist staff who have roles and responsibilities for PREA implementation in their facilities. The goal of this workshop is to give attendees implementation guidance on four challenging PREA standards and learn ways to overcome these challenges and successfully implement these protocols.
During the training, we will focus on PREA Standards 115.16 (Inmates w/disabilities), 115.31 (Employee Training), 115.33 (Inmate education), and 115.53 (Access to Outside Confidential Support Services). Together, we will explore

The focus of the session was to share practical steps to cultivate work between tribes and state agencies. The dialogue included best practices for establishing and strengthening partnerships and critical data sharing to reduce juvenile justice contact among tribal youth. The National Police Foundation will be hosting its CompStat360 organizational effectiveness webinar with Wendy Stiver, Director of Research and Procedural Justice and Deputy Chief Tarrick McGuire, for police agencies who want to improve their department’s organizational effectiveness strategies through the use of data. CompStat360 is a performance management tool for law enforcement agencies that fosters the use of a wide range of data to inform strategic problem solving.
