The National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children requested NCJTC to assist with a tribal track of training at the National DEC Conference on August 29-31, 2023 in Kansas City, MO. The 2023 conference theme is: Coming Together for Hope, Healing and Support.

Members of the PRC team presented in person at the American Society of Criminology 78th Annual Meeting - the presentation was entitled - The Prosecution Research Collaborative: Systematic Literature Review and Directions Forward.

NW3C provides TA services to assist agencies with various resource needs in areas such as adjudication, counter-terrorism, crime prevention, justice information-sharing, law enforcement, tribal justice, and capacity-building, just to name a few. In so doing, NW3C supports TA at various levels of time, resources, and intensity including:
• Assistance with strategic planning
• Curriculum development
• Customized technical assistance from subject matter experts
• Data analysis
• Facilitation of advisory group meetings

The RVCRI team supported one individual from the Crawford County, WI Sheriff's Office and Tremonton-Garland, UT Police Department to attend the two-week FLETC Sexual Assault Investigators Training Program from November 27 - December 8.

In coordination with NCJFCJ and a Baltimore Judge, provide training to approximately 51 judicial officers on ERPO implementation best practices, including distinctions between ERPO and domestic violence protection orders and due process protections.

The PRC team delivered a summary of research findings at the JRI Virtual Symposium. The presentation was entitled The Prosecution Research Collaborative: Systematic Literature Review and Directions Forward

Per incarcerated student's request after an online panel, I held a virtual Q & A meeting with incarcerated students around higher education in prison and after at AVCF in Colorado. It was facilitated by Colorado DOC and organized and co-presented with Open Campus reporter Charlotte West.

PRC staff observed a certified PREA auditor conduct a compliance audit of the Ocean Tides School which is a non-secure residential facility for court adjudicated youth located in Narrangansett, Rhode Island. The purpose of the audit observation project was to learn how certified auditors are implementing the PREA Auditor Handbook required audit methodology in practice.

PRC staff observed a certified PREA auditor conduct a compliance audit of the Rhode Island Training School which is a secure residential facility for pre-adjudication and court ordered post-adjudication youth located in Cranston, Rhode Island. The purpose of the audit observation project was to learn how certified auditors are implementing the PREA Auditor Handbook required audit methodology in practice and to analyze the effectiveness of the audit methodology and audit instrument.

The Vera Institute of Justice is offering a 12-month virtual technical assistance (TA) engagement to help a correctional facility increase access to PREA information and services for incarcerated people with disabilities, those who are Deaf, and those with limited English proficiency (LEP).
