The Lawrence Massachusetts Police Department requested support with their Body Worn Camera Policy. BJA NTTAC closed this request due to an unresponsive requestor.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested support from Ed Flynn to finalize the language in the Prosecutor's Violence Crime Operations Guide.

Jefferson County, Alabama requested a review of the revised validation report for their county. The Pretrial Justice Initiative (PJI) was selected to review the revised validation report for Jefferson County and prepare a memo to the Office of Justice Programs on findings and recommendations. This technical assistance was completed in the next contract year.

Pamela Cammarata was selected to fulfill the request and provided meeting facilitation from August 28 – 31, 2018. Ms. Cammarata delivered a final report to South Texas College in September 2018.

The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole (COPP) requested technical assistance for a third-party, independent assessment of a series of critical incidents involving felony probationers and/or parolees to determine whether policy changes are warranted. Police Foundation was selected to fulfill the request through the competitive RFP process in July 2017. The period of performance for this technical assistance engagement will begin on September 1, 2017.

South Texas College requested technical assistance to facilitate a planning meeting for a regional public safety training center. Pamela Cammarata was selected to fulfill the request, and facilitated the planning meeting on August 28-31, 2018. Ms. Cammarata will deliver a final report to South Texas College in September 2018.

BJA requests that a subject matter expert conduct a peer review of two of IACP's Children of Arrested Parents publications.

BJA is requesting technical assistance to advise the Director of BJA on the approval of specialty vehicle waiver requests submitted by Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cleveland, Ohio for funding support for law enforcement security expenditures in association with the 2016 Republican and Democrat Presidential Candidate Nominating Conventions.

Arkansas Community Correction (ACC) is requesting technical assistance through BJA to assist with revising the current Medicaid and private option policy regarding physician referrals for mental health services. Preliminary research has been done by ACC through analyzing other states’ Medicaid policies. Currently, individuals receiving Medicaid must obtain a referral from a Primary Care Physician (PCP) before accessing mental health or substance abuse services in the community.
