The Rhode Island Public Safety Grant Administration Office has reached out for assistance with the development, distribution, and analysis of a survey. The survey aims to gather information on the comprehensive needs of the state's criminal justice system. Rhode Island plans to distribute this statewide survey to gain a better understanding of the crime trends in their communities. What makes this survey unique is that it includes community members and those with lived experience, such as survivors and justice-impacted individuals.

The opioid crisis and the flood of other drugs has reached epidemic proportion in many of our tribal communities across the nation. According to the 2018 National Survey on Drug Use and Health Tables, twice as many American Indians and Alaska Natives require treatment for addiction compared to any other racial and ethnic group.

The Center worked with the New Hampshire's judiciary to support the 2023 NH Annual Treatment Court Conference that took place on September 20-21, 2023 in Bartlett, New Hampshire. The Center has provided financial support to invite a subject matter expert Dr. Brian Meyer to deliver 3 presentations titled "What’s Under the Hood? The Psychology of the Treatment Court", "Complicated Relationship between Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse", and "What’s New in PTSD Treatment".
