The PRC will operate an assistance request form on its website and will respond to assistance requests by engaging with jurisdictions, assessing what services are appropriate, and meeting the needs of the requesting organization as resources allow. All data regarding the interaction will be tracked in the PRC's information database. Full assistance cases will be reported as individual TTAs.
The PRC processed/closed 38 Request for Assistance cases between January - June 2024.

Rape is not part of the penalty. These words echo the intent of the Prison Rape Elimination Act ? that no matter what crime someone may have committed, sexual abuse is not acceptable. In the 20 years since the passage of the landmark PREA legislation, many practitioners, advocates, and survivors have worked to implement the law and end this public health crisis. Workshop presenters from the PREA Resource Center and our partner organizations Just Detention International and The Moss Group, Inc. shared highlights from PREA 20th anniversary events, including a brief video of historic moments.
