July 10: CSG Justice Center staff toured the Covenant Recovery reentry center with Jarrod Self (Area Manager) and Lisa Thomas, the Covenant House Director, to observe the facility and learn about available programming. (2 people representing 2 agencies)

July 9: CSG Justice Center staff met with DOC Leadership (Linsday Wallace [Secretary, Arkansas Department of Corrections and Task Force Member], Tabrina Bratton [Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation Administrator, Arkansas Department of Corrections], Tawnie Rowell [General Counsel, Arkansas Department of Corrections and Task Force Coordinator], Wade Hodge [Chief of Staff]) to discuss the implementation of the state's new risk and needs assessment tool, including what training is needed and the timeline for the tool's rollout. (4 people representing 2 agencies).
Priority Area 1: Work with state agencies to receive and analyze data to identify drivers of Arkansas's high recidivism rates and understand how recidivism contributes to overall crime and incarceration rates.
