Crime Prevention

The Miami, Florida Police Department, as part of the Miami Public Safety Partnership Site, requested funding for registration and books for the International Association of Crime Analysts online training courses. BJA NTTAC provided funding support for four representatives to attend the IACA online training courses starting in July 2021 and ending in September 2021.

The Baltimore requested technical assistance from Jerry Ratcliffe to help Increase the understanding of how to use crime analysts and analytical products to implement crime reduction strategies. The requestor withdrew the request.

Miami PSP is requesting support for two representatives to attend the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 23 - 27, 2021.

Review and audit prolific offender list to ensure compliance with established metrics and ensure no bias.

Assist with deployment.

The Anchorage, Alaska Police Department, as part of the Anchorage Public Safety Partnership site, requested funding for registration and books for the International Association of Crime Analysts online training courses. BJA NTTAC provided funding support to one representative to attend the IACA online training courses starting in April 2021 and ending in June 2021.

The Oxford, Alabama National Public Safety Site requested to send three travelers to the 5 Day Basic Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Course. BJA NTTAC denied this request.

Wichita, Kansas Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Site requested Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Training . Virginia Center for Policing Innovation was selected to fulfill the request and virtually provided CPTED to Wichita PSN on August 16, 2021 and August 18, 2021. 

The Honolulu, Hawaii Police Department requested a crime analysis assessment. The requestor became unresponsive.

Unchained submitted a request to BJA NTTAC for reentry curriculum development. BJA followed up by email with relevant resources and closed the request due to an unresponsive requestor.

Variate submitted a request to BJA NTTAC for organizational development support related to policymaking, law enforcement, and funding. The BJA NTTAC team followed up by email with relevant resources and closed the request due to an unresponsive requestor.
