Sponsored by the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) and the IJIS Institute (IJIS), the National Forum on Criminal Justice showcases programs, research and technologies that help justice practitioners and decision makers in states, local communities and tribal nations address pressing public safety issues. It is the only criminal justice conference that brings together leaders from federal, state, local and tribal government and the public and private sector to share real world strategies and solutions from around the country.

During the July - December 2018 reporting period, IIR in consultation with BJA, developed the program agenda, show flow, and other symposium materials; identified and prepped speakers; coordinated with the hotel, regional USAO, and local law enforcement; and planned out all participant logistics. The 2018 PSP Symposium was held on September 24-26. The 2018 PSP Symposium on Violent Crime took place in Birmingham, Alabama on September 24-26, 2018.

This day and a half training summit served as an orientation for FY17 JMHCP Category 2 and 3 and Second Chance Act (SCA) Co-occurring Disorder (COD) grantees. The orientation included a keynote speech on implementation science, breakout discussion sessions with TA staff, workshop sessions in two tracks (cultural and gender competency and data collection and evaluation), a session on grants management, and a plenary session on developing collaborative, comprehensive case plans.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested travel support for representatives from various PSP sites to attend the SPI Innovations Academy. BJA NTTAC did not fulfill this request. .

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested travel for representatives from Public Safety Partnership (PSP) sites to attend the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) National PSP Summit. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to 1 representative from the West Memphis PSP site to attend the summit from September 11 – 13, 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
