Grantees will provide introductions of themselves and their CSCR projects. The TTA team will introduce the topic of priority considerations on increasing access to services for underserved populations and working with culturally responsive agencies. They will participate in breakout discussions on whether they applied for priority considerations and their plans for addressing those considerations in the implementation of their project.

The first half of the networking session will provide an opportunity for grantees to discuss their plans for Second Chance Month. Grantees will also have a chance to present any ideas for topics they would like to cover in future networking sessions.

The CSG Justice Center provided intensive TTA to Better Health Together in eastern Washington state, which requested support with developing and delivering a training around gender-responsive services. They expressed a great need for this type of service in the area, particularly related to reentry, as partner agencies had little to no baseline knowledge on the intersection of these topics. The CSG Justice Center engaged a consultant from the Center for Effective Public Policy, which runs the National Resource Center on Justice Involved Women, to help develop the training.

The CSG Justice Center provided intensive TTA to the Montpelier, VT, Police Department, which works in collaboration with the Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS). In collaboration with IJIS Institute the CSG Justice Center reviewed the police department and WCMHS data systems, the data being collected, the data needs of both providers, and helped identify a new data tracking system that was agreed upon and subsequently implemented.

The CSG Justice Center worked with the Northeast DuPage, IL, Family and Youth Services (NEDFYS) organization and their law enforcement partners on their Behavioral Health Referral Program data collection project. We met with the NEDFYS team to review their current referral processes with each law enforcement partner, current data collection methods, their internal data dashboard, and their methods of client outreach. Along with representatives from IJIS Institute we also met with each partner law enforcement agency to review their internal processes.

The overall goal for the quarterly networking hour is to enhance the TTA available through individual calls by offering peer learning opportunities for discussions on specific topics across grant programs, facilitating peer connections, preparing cohorts for evaluations and sustainability, and distilling lessons learned. This was the second quarterly networking session for the year. Grantees provided introductions of themselves and their SCA PFS projects.

This quarterly call for the Criminal Justice Mental Health Learning Sites program was centered around getting updates from the sites, reviewing the new learning sites website, and discussing the activity report process and timelines. The meeting was productive and lots of information was shared from the sites. Many of the sites will be participating in the upcoming Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) virtual symposium as speakers and panelists, as well as participating in upcoming Ask the Expert series.

During this quarterly Innovators call, the Stepping Up partners welcomed new Innovator Counties to the network and provided an overview of the Stepping Up strategic planning process. The partners also walked the counties through a proposal to categorize the Innovator Counties based on the data and information they share and how they can engage with the network. Innovator Counties discussed current projects and focus areas, and the Stepping Up partners previewed some forthcoming resources with the counties. There were 25 counties represented on the call.
