The PDMP TTAC team consistently delivers technical assistance to PDMP administrators, staff, and other stakeholders, responding to information requests and facilitating peer-to-peer communication. These efforts help identify potential resources and technical assistance needs as PDMPs evolve, enabling the PDMP TTAC team to proactively develop and implement the most efficient and effective delivery methods.

Supplemental one-on-one capacity-building support/TTA with leaders from one of EJUSA's subrecipient CBOs. While one-on-one support will continue throughout the grant period, this TTA activity represents all one-on-one support provided between when The BRidge Agency received notice of subawardee status in August 2024 and December 31, 2024.

Set up phone consultation with Judge Theresa Chernosky following her attendance at the panel discussion on Promising Practices at the Nexus of Courts and Behavioral Health at the NJCFCJ's annual conference in July 2024. Discussed Judge Chernosky's interest in developing more support services for families and individuals involved in family and dependency court. Referred her to All Rise, who connected her with Children and Family Futures for tech assistance regarding Family Treatment Courts.

Consolidated Appropriations Act 2023 Section 5121 Youth Provisions and Related Materials

In the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, Congress authorized Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to cover certain services provided to Medicaid-eligible youth and young adults in correctional facilities. Specifically, starting January 1, 2025, Medicaid and CHIP will cover screening and diagnostic services and targeted case management services for eligible, post-adjudicated youth and young adults.

Expanding Medicaid and CHIP's Role in Corrections: Implementing Section 5121 New Continuity of Care Requirements for Youth and Young Adults

Starting in January, Section 5121 requires Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to cover some services provided in correctional facilities to youth and young adults immediately before and after they are released.

Join guests Tamera Marshall, Youth Diversion Coordinator for Oglala Sioux Tribe and Annie Brokenleg, Juvenile Diversion Coordinator for the State of South Dakota for this community of practice session focused on highlighting tribal-state collaboration through the South Dakota Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative. Engage in peer exchange with other services providers focused on the value of multi-jurisdictional collaboration in juvenile diversion.

On August 27 and 28, 2024, CSG Justice Center staff conducted a 1.5 day in-person site visit with the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center in Chillicothe, OH, that included tours of two of the four partnering jails (Ross and Fayette), provided a training on collaborative comprehensive case planning, engaged in discussions with the correctional partners about M.A.T, screening and assessment processes and collaboration with peers and crisis system partners to provide recovery support and crisis stabilization for people in reentry.

The District of the US Virgin Islands requested assistance with their PSN strategy. From April 15-18, 2024 the CNA TTA team sent representatives to the USAO’s in the US Virgin Islands to complete a strategic planning session with PSN stakeholders, a crime analysis capacity assessment, a research partner working session, and an in-depth information session and PSN working session for the USAO, Natasha Baker.
