Monthly TTA calls conducted with sites each month to determine needs and provide ongoing guidance and support.
MasterCard Worldwide, through its Impact Evaluator team, will develop recommendations for a data assessment framework and will share findings with LISC and other project partners, including nonprofit organizations under LISC’s Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Capacity Building program. The assessment framework will be an examination of relevant programmatic and open-sourced data and will measure the impact of CVIPI initiatives currently being implemented by project partners.
Colmena Collective will work with and support LISC Safety & Justice Training and Technical Assistance efforts by providing direct administrative and organizational capacity building guidance to grantees of the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention (CVIPI) Capacity Building project. The team at Colmena will participate in the community justice accelerator and will provide presentation on partnership engagement and organizational governance and board development.
Admin Support, Org Assessment, Capacity Building Guidance
LISC hosted a virtual Peer to Peer Networking session where participants we able to present on their CVIPI work and learn about the organizations taking part in the first capacity building cohort. Participants also learned about how their peers were working to build their organizational and administrative capacity as part of this grant.
LISC and SME partners held a working session with subgrantees to discuss organizational capacity building in the areas of data usage for audits, charging expenses using federal funds, and delineating leadership positions and responsibilities.
Agenda: Establishing Data Collection Form for Future Audit, Procedures for Charging Cost to Federal Awards, Segregation of Duties and Functional Responsibilities:
LISC convened subgrantee organizations for a group workshop on administrative support. LISC provided the subgrantees an overview of LISC’s offerings as it relates to expending their administrative capabilities. The topics of this workshop included: Procurement Policy Development, Financial and Accounting Policies and Procedures, Staff Travel Policy, Equipment Purchased with Federal Funds.
