Due to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center - RVCRI partnership, Sgt. Avery Cowardin was able to attend the May 2025 DHS Leadership Academy, which is a two-week long leadership course for individuals in a command authority position or could assume command authority. The training includes segments on leadership challenges, adaptive leadership, leading through a crisis, navigating the seven c's of leadership, wellness in law enforcement, servant leadership, and a capstone group project.

Bolster our training and technical resource delivery to NOBLE by providing moderator Chief Murphy Paul Jr (retired) for panel discussions at the William Bracey CEO Symposium.
We have developed discussion questions for the panel. The Bureau of Justice Assistance particularly appreciates the inclusion of Officer Safety and Wellness as a key topic in the discussion.

As we bolster our training and technical resources to Tribal law enforcement agencies across the United States, the South Eastern Tribal leaders have requested TTA outreach. This will become a long-term partnership and the technical assistance is in its early stages.
