Description of the Problem

Tiffin Police Department is a small agency with a very limited training budget. We have had our share of use of force incidents, including an officer involved shooting, in the past year and a half. Although our use of force incidents were lawful we are always looking to improve the quality of decisions that officers make in these critical incidents that require force to be applied. Also we are looking to educate the general public/community on how/why officers have to use force during critical incidents.

How do you anticipate that the requested assistance will address the problems?
We are requesting Command Presence (http://commandpresence.net/) as we have been to several of their classes and the instruction level and attention to detail were far and above what we have had in the past. They have training courses in the areas that we have described above and we anticipate that those courses will assist us in the Use of Force/Legal Updates/Use of Force Report Writing/Decision Making Under Stress/Preparing for the Psychological Aftermath of those critical incidents based on the level of training we have received from them in the past.
