2/20: Call with Health General Manager (Klamath Nation) and Behavioral Health General Manager (Klamath Nation) to receive their input on tailoring recommendations to service the needs of their tribal members.
2/21: Call with Behavioral Health Director (Siletz Nation), General Manager (Siletz Nation), Assistant General Manager (Siletz nation) and Clinic Health Director (Siletz Nation) to receive their input on tailoring recommendations to service the needs of their tribal members.
2/21: Call with General Counsel (Oregon State Legislature) to discuss the final recommendations of the steering committee.
Research division work on the Oregon project consisted of receiving final data analyses from OHA with Medicaid and state hospital data matched to the criminal justice data provided to them in December 2018. Considerable time was spent reviewing the analyses and incorporating them into formats for public presentation and discussion.
Research - Monthly Log:
• 2/1–2/6 – Corresponded with Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Captain for feedback on draft analyses and estimates of jail impacts.
• 2/11–2/22 – Continued estimation of impacts from policy package and final presentation.
