Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance
CSG Justice Center staff visited Washington in 11/3-11/6 to meet with WADOC staff and leadership, as well as to conduct observations of case management meetings.

5 meetings in November with 35 participants representing 1 agency

11/4/2024: In-person meeting at the Spokane field office with Randi Unfred (Field Administrator, WADOC), Meghan Miller (Administrative Assistant, WADOC), Andrew Wilson (CCO, WADOC), Casey Potts (CCO, WADOC), Yessenia Mendez (CCO, WADOC), Blake Owsley (CCO, WADOC), Ryan Crone (CCO, WADOC), Kelsey Bluford (CCO, WADOC), Genie Smith (CCO, WADOC), Pat Green (Community Corrections Supervisor, WADOC) to ask questions about their supervision clients and the absconder population in their region. These conversations and learnings will be used to inform an Absconder Prevention Guide that is specifically targeted to the needs of WADOC's absconder population and crafted around current strategies that WADOC staff use to engage these individuals. 11/6/2024: In-person meeting at headquarters with Mac Pevey (Community Corrections Assistant Secretary, WADOC), Donna Harper, Regional Administrator, WADOC), Steve Johnson (Regional Administrator, WADOC), Autumn Witten (Community Corrections Administrator, WADOC), and Brent Martin (Community Response Unit, WADOC) to go over site visit findings, learn about ongoing legislation and policy movements, and establish goals for the technical assistance project. (5 participants, representing 1 agency)
