Amidst calls for police reform, states, municipalities, and law enforcement agencies across the United States are adopting new policies and practices to track and regulate officers’ engagement in traffic stop and enforcement activities. While the thorough collection of stop and enforcement data is critical for examining the equity and effectiveness of police practices, the examination of these data requires methodologically robust analyses that can be challenging for agencies to manage without specialized training in data analysis and statistical strategies.
12/10 - presentation to the Yavapai County CJCC to introduce the project and encourage them to consider participating. (15 people, representing 15 agencies).
12/3 - Recruitment meeting with Chief Stallman and Captain Chambers of Altoona Police Department which resulted in the department opting in. (2 people, representing 1 agency).
12/3 - Recruitment meeting with Chief Chris Scott of West Des Moines Police Department which resulting in the department opting in. (1 person, representing 1 agency).
12/4 - Recruitment meeting with Sheriff Schneider and Deputy Stanton of Polk County Sheriff's Office to introduce the project. (2 people, representing 1 agency).
12/4 - Meeting with Chief Deputy Maxwell, Lt. Larson and Sgt. Bowers of Dallas County Sheriff's Office to introduce the project. (3 people, representing 1 agency).
12/4 - Meeting with Chief Siepker of Polk City Police Department resulting in the department opting in. (1 person, representing 1 agency).
12/11 - Recruitment meeting with North County Police Cooperative (Chief Buchanan, Mayor James W. McGee from Vinita Park, Council member from Wellston - Stephanie R. Perry, Alderman from Vinita Park and wife of the Mayor -Celeste McGee, and 3 other city officials that will be identified by Chief Buchanan later today) (7 participants, representing 1 agency).
