The Bureau of Justice Assistance requests assistance in producing a white paper on witness intimidation.
Need assistance in developing a manual for Kentucky Prosecutors to assist in making appropriate bail recommendations based risks to public safety as opposed to defendant's ability to post a monetary bond. Key elements include screening by an experienced prosecutor, a recommendation based upon risk factors, and an opportunity to make alternative to incarceration recommendations suchas treatment, drug or mental health courts, or deferred prosecution.
The International Association of Chiefs of Police will support the Law Enforcement Working Group and BJA NTTAC in further defining and developing the General Policing Standards and the Specific Controlled Equipment Standards (as laid out in Executive Order 13688), and developing model policies.
BJA would like to make a training video specifically on RSAT MAT programming. This video will not focus on just one county RSAT program, but include RSAT MAT programs operating in state prisons and local jails as well as the federal prisons for both men and women. Currently, AHP have identified prison MAT programs we would feature in Missouri as well as Massachusetts as well as a dozen county jail MAT programs across New England.
