The National Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Resource Center (ERC) invites you to the 2025 National ERPO Roundtable taking place on January 15th-16th, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions, in partnership with the Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), established the National ERPO Resource Center (ERC) in 2023. The ERC is a training and technical assistance (TTA) hub designed to support states and localities with the implementation of their ERPO programs to reduce gun violence and save lives.
The January meeting brought together subject matter experts, coaches, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for implementing effective programs addressing substance use disorder in jails. Participants explored best practices, common barriers, and solutions, with insights from law enforcement and healthcare professionals. The meeting also introduced team assessments to guide data-driven decision-making and foster collaboration.
The Building Bridges Virtual Orientation introduced key stakeholders, outlined the initiative’s goals and expectations, and provided insight into treating substance use disorder in jails. Subject matter experts and coaches shared their expertise, followed by a discussion with Building Bridges alumni to offer real-world perspectives. The meeting will conclude with a Q&A session and a review of next steps.
On 2/6/25 TLPI held a virtual onsite training for Burns Paiute. It was presented by Chantel Cloud (TLPI), Catherine Retana (TLPI), Greg Brown (Fox Valley), with administrative support from Mytia Zavala (TLPI). Chief Judge Patricia Davis, and Kim Needham, Tribal Court Clerk/Administrator, Miranda J. Moulton, Probation Officer of the Burns Paiute Tribal Court joined the virtual on-site training via zoom. TLPI and Fox Valley presented on Tribal Re-Entry and Probation: Case Planning for Criminal Justice Professionals
