In October, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with WADOC staff to discuss the progressing partnership with the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) to complete the legislation proposal for the Superior Court DV Court. WADOC's legal department has sent a draft scope of work agreement and contract to the YWCA legal department for review.

In October, the Recidiviz data scientist received access to the required WADOC data and set up the necessary environment to begin analysis of and familiarization with the data.

In October, TDCJ reported they successfully filled the vacant Community Corrections Officer (CCO) position. The selected applicant began on October 1, 2024, and is currently shadowing the CCO facilitating cohorts five and 6 of the Anger Management on Parole program. . The new applicant will receive their caseload during the next cycle of programming offered.

In October, the Recidiviz team continued to ingest TDCJ data and met with the TDCJ IT team to ask questions and request additional data to fully support the Recidiviz tools.

The Recidiviz team also met with TDCJ's research director to hear his perspective on the project's progress.

In October, Recidiviz met with PADOC's leadership team to confirm the direction of the project and push for more data. The Recidiviz team was able to meet with PADOC's new Director of Field Operations (Head of Parole) to generate excitement about the project and next steps.

While Recidiviz were not able to get data by the projected 10/15 date, they anticipate receiving data by early November and have updated the timeline to reflect this new timing.

New York Smart Supervision FY22 TA (November 2024)
In November, CSG Justice Center staff continued meeting with NYDOCCS staff to discuss the progress of the project. NYDOCCS staff drafted proposal questions and re-submitted the scope of work for review and approval to the Contractor Procurement Unit (CPU) on November 15. In addition, NYDOCCS staff obtained clearance with the Integrated Systems Division on November 15.
NYDOCCS staff met with the CPU to discuss the processing and releasing of the RFP to adhere to their release date of December 15, 2024.

NYDOCCS has re-submitted the scope of work for review and approval to the Contractor Procurement Unit (CPU). NYDOCCS has met with the CPU to discuss the processing and releasing of the RFP to adhere to the timeline submitted to BJA.
