This 3-day training will be held in Boise, Idaho on August 8-10, 2018. It will include 2 days of general lectures for approximately 150 defenders of all experience levels and one day of specialized small group/hands-on training for approximately 50 less experienced defenders. The attendees will include institutional defenders and members of the private bar accepting court appointed cases. We will be partnering with the Idaho State Public Defense Commission.

Sarah, Crystal and Brian Acken sat in on a demonstration of Montana's tracking system. It is still under development.

The Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team hosted a webinar titled, Utilizing CODIS for Unsubmitted Sexual Assault Kits, on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 from 1:00pm-3:00pm EST. This webinar was presented by Amy Jeanguenat of Mindgen, LLC. During the webinar participants learned: - How data and communication flows between CODIS levels - Eligibility requirements for sample input - 'HIT' categories and notifications - Factors to consider to achieve database search success with unsubmitted kit projects.

The Center assisted the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe by drafting a justice system needs assessment report based upon information gathered during previous site visits and data collected in partnership with the tribe.
