NPI allocated a portion of the remaining microgrant funding to support conference and event attendance. This training and event support will give many agencies access to events and trainings that they would not otherwise have access to in an effort to help further enhance their departments and agencies. NPI will support up to two individuals to attend this training course, which includes the training.

Witnesses play an important role, from reporting a crime to police to cooperating with prosecutors in an investigation. Justice professionals must put concerted efforts into reducing trauma and further harm of victims, while addressing issues with witness intimidation and relocation to promote witness cooperation. During this Prosecution Community of Practice Event, Ms. Beth McGarry and John Wilkinson, a senior attorney advisor at AEquitas, share challenges and promising practices in witness intimidation issues and approaches.
