The 2017 Tribal Healing to Wellness Court Enhancement Training is the preeminent national training opportunity for tribal problem-solving courts. Like national and regional drug court trainings, the Wellness Court Enhancement Training will be oriented around the ten key components and the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) National Drug Court Standards.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) requested travel support for 15 individuals from Public Safety Partnership Network (PSP) sites nationwide to attend the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) Summit in New Orleans, Louisiana from September 11 – 13, 2017. BJA NTTAC was identified to provide this support which began in August 2017.

State Agency Administrators (SAA) and Governors’ Criminal Justice Policy Advisors (CJPAs) joined together in Charleston, South Carolina in December 2017 for the Institute for State Criminal Justice and Public Safety Executives, hosted by NCJA and the National Governor’s Association (NGA). Representatives from 38 states and territories registered for the event which featured a robust agenda of high priority topics, networking opportunities and discussions.

NCJA is supporting BJA in convening the State Administering Agencies, Governors’ Criminal Justice Policy Advisors, state corrections officials, and representatives from 10 Public Safety Partnership (PSP) sites (formerly known as Violence Reduction Network (VRN) sites). The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 2 in Long Beach, CA. About 70 people are expected to attend.
