The first of the biannual RxCheck Governance Board meetings was held virtually on March 14, 2024. Twenty-four of the 38 member PDMPs were represented. The agenda topics at the meeting included:

• RxCheck v 3.1 rollout and adoption status
• Progress on developing enhancements for RxCheck
• Development of guidelines and processes for RxCheck software governance

At the end of 2023, the PMIX Executive Committee voted to seek funding and support from an alternate source. The National Association of States with Controlled Substances Authorities (NASCSA) was selected by the PMIX Executive Committee to provide support effective January 1, 2024. Per IIR’s BJA policy advisor, this deliverable is no longer applicable for PDMP TTAC.

In lieu of the two regional meetings, PDMP TTAC, with BJA approval, hosted and facilitated a national PDMP Administrators’ meeting in San Antonio, Texas on May 7-9, 2024. PDMP representatives from 40 of the 54 PDMPs attended. The major topics covered during the meeting included:

PDMP TTAC staff members completed the compilations for the second quarter of FY2024 proposed and enacted legislation and regulations. The “Compilation of PDMP Statutes and Regulations by Topic” visualization on the PDMP TTAC website was updated in April to reflect the updates from that quarter as was the “Summary of Selected 2023 Bills and Regulations.”

In April 2024, PDMP TTAC staff members developed a PDMP assessment tool and distributed it to PDMP administrators for completion. Topics covered in the assessment were developed with input from federal, state, and other partners and covered various capabilities and policies of PDMPs. The deadline for completion of the assessment was May 17, 2024, with 93 percent of the PDMP administrators responding. PDMP TTAC staff members are drafting a summary document on the results, titled “PDMP Policies and Capabilities: Results From 2024 State Assessment.”

The PDMP TTAC team routinely and consistently provides technical assistance to PDMP administrators and staff as well as other stakeholders in response to requests for information or to facilitate peer-to-peer communication. These activities help identify potential resources and TTA needs as PDMPs evolve, allowing the PDMP TTAC team to proactively develop and provide the most efficient and effective methods of delivery.

During this reporting period, IIR staff members provided complete logistical support to the following meetings and events:

2024 National Forum on Overdose Fatality Review—March 5–6, 2024. The forum included 21 sessions and 54 panelists. There were 452 confirmed registrations and 320 people attended the event. Attendees represented COSSUP grantees, federal partners, and interested stakeholders. The event was viewed as a huge success and received very positive reviews from participants.
