I gave the opening day keynote speech for the conference. Description: The 2024 Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI) Grantee Conference is an opportunity for CVIPI grantees to network with O�ce of Justice Programs (OJP) grant managers and other community violence intervention (CVI) grantees while learning andsharing best
practices and strategies for implementing violence intervention activities.

The PCITI Level 1 training covers standard operating procedures and protocols for safe
street outreach and violence interruption along with instruction in effective operations.
Their curriculum culminates in a comprehensive training and certification for community
based public safety professionals and administrators. During two 3-day training
sessions, the violence intervention training provides extensive opportunities for
participants to apply new knowledge through scenario-based learning. Some

The Data Management Small Learning Cohort is a training space specifically for government agency grantees in need of data management support. This cohort is a 3-month, six-session training series that is designed to assist government grantees to understand and implement streamlined and effective collection, analysis and reporting on program inputs and outputs to maintain accountability, improve performance and efficiently manage specific outcomes. Fully strengthening the agencies’ data infrastructure and overall process.

MPI provides intensive technical support to the three partners identified under this award. Partner agencies vary greatly in their ability to collect and record information necessary to evaluate our collective impact. In the process of reviewing individual practices, MFS recognized a need to regularly provide data to partner agencies for decision making. To this end, MFS has created monthly data snapshots for each organization to provide timely feedback on the work as reflected in programmatic data.
