Theory of Change – during this session learners were introduced to logic model and at the close of the training were able to:

(1) identify components of a strong TOC,

(2) Use TOC to communicate problems and steps to change it, and

(3) Develop an understanding of CIV programs by creating a mock TOC.

PERF is providing key stakeholders in Cambridge, including the police department, health department and prosecutor's office, with technical assistance to support them in implementing the following two DOJ Roadmap's essential actions: creating a citywide plan for engaging key people and places, and addressing key locations using place-based policing and investment.

Police, prosecutors, city officials, and jurisdictions can request training and technical assistance (TTA) on how to use strategies in alignment with the 10 essential action of the OJP's Violent Crime Reduction Roadmap to reduce violent crime while building community trust. The “menu” of TTA, based on each requester’s needs, will include provision of resources, referral to other DOJ-funded TTA providers, connection to peer-to-peer resource agencies, virtual TTA sessions, and more in-depth on-site TTA including a needs assessment brief and strategic plan outline.
