The LCCL will deploy a customized CaseMGR data system consisting of a Parent-Child account that allows the LCCL (“Parent”) to monitor and pull data across all Community Partner (“Child”) data sites. CaseMGR is HIPPA compliant with data hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global leader in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). CaseMGR uses a user role hierarchy

The formal sub-awards are executed through a detailed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU outlines such details relating to the roles and responsibilities of all parties, expectations, funding, fiscal timeframes and deadlines, and formal communications. The Community Partner’s proposal and budget are incorporated as part of the MOU and changes may only be requested and approved in writing.

TJI provided faculty for a workshop at the 2023 Community Violence Intervention Program annual conference in St Louis, Missouri. The workshop included discussions on using CV program funds to support programming and services to tribal members and communities.

The LCCL will conduct a competitive sub-award process through a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award grant funding to eligible Community Partners (sub-grantees). An RFP guidance document will be produced along with corresponding proposal forms, budget forms and instructions for budget narratives. The proposal form will be in a question-and-answer format to help direct and focus responses.

The Get Ready strategy is a pre-engagement tool that can be given to potential Community Partners so they have an idea of what the LCCL will be looking for in order to engage in a collaborative relationship. This can be deployed prior to and during the sub-award process.

On June 22, 2023, a grantee orientation webinar was held. Newly selected grantees participated in an orientation session designed to provide them with vital information regarding grant admin, reporting, and future funding opportunities.

A Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Capacity Building (CVIPICB) Informational Webinar was held on April 27, 2023. This event provided Community Violence Intervention (CVI) community-based organizations with relevant information as to how they can apply for capacity building funding as part of this grant program (bitters webinar).

On Feb 22, 2023, a capacity building listening session was conducted. During the session practitioners were able to share their thoughts as it relates to the most important needs of community-based organizations attempting to implement or enhance their CVIPI work. The group engaged in conversation for over an hour and developed a list of capacity building areas of focus.
