LISC co-hosted a grant solicitation webinar with NPI and BJA on November 10th, 2022. This opportunity helped explain the RVCRI grant opportunity, allowable uses of funds, eligible organizations that could apply, and the overall application process.

Matt Perkins participated in a panel discussion "Rethinking Small Business Support" that provided the opportunity to discuss Safety & Justice's work and the RVCRI project. Follow-up resources provided to seminar attendees included the RVCRI grant application portal.

LeVar Michael attended the IACP Conference to discuss the RVCRI microgrant application and support the BJA assigned site (Vail, CO) network with attendees. This included conversation with NOBLE representatives that led to sharing of the microgrant app opportunity.

Matt Perkins participated on the Research and Policy Perspectives of Violent Events plenary session. Session description: "There are few topics nationally that can be agreed to, but the violence that plagues our communities is undeniable. This plenary session will cover evidence-informed approaches to address violent crime and other significant public safety
problems, presented by recognized experts in the fields of criminal justice, public safety and violence prevention research and program development."

Follow-up site consultation from the 10/12/2022 webinar featuring Julie Wartell's SARA presentations. Sites provided additional resources and guidance on following SARA model as they begin project activities and related planning. Julie provided one virtual consultation session with each PD, followed by email consultation and follow-up resource dissemination.

Site requested supplemental TTA around place and crime, with specific training requested for 1st Generation CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles and their application to the site's identified hot spots. Tom Wyatt also served as a co-presenter with LISC staff on four (4) separate TTA sessions and supported the production of follow-up resource library.

John Connelly and Matt Perkins conducted a site visit to discuss ongoing safety/justice work in site jointly supported by Safety & Justice and Rural LISC teams. Local partners also provided feedback on the grant application process and portal.

Waco Police Department reached out to request information regarding community violence intervention strategies and the ability to use ARPA funds for strategies. NCJA provided information on current ARPA allocation in TX as well as different CVI strategies for implementation.

The Hawaii SAA requested assistance in the comprehensive criminal justice strategic planning process. NCJA will assist with the creation, dissemination and analysis of a stakeholder survey. The survey will reach a broad set of criminal justice stakeholders and partners to help inform Hawaii's comprehensive strategic plan.
