From May 8th to May 9th of 2023, LISC participated in a joint CVIPI training and technical assistance (TTA) meeting with representatives from DOJ agencies, READI National and CBPS Collective.

This meeting helped to align our TTA priorities and collaborative efforts with other TTA teams with the goals DOJ is trying to achieve through CVIPI grant programs.

From February 14th through February 16th of 2023, LISC presented 3 panel discussions, Introduction to the CVIPI Checklist Tool, Safe Passages as a Proven Model to Reduce Violence, and Creating a CVI Infrastructure.

Webinar training, "Implementing Extreme Risk Protection Orders: Tools for the Field," to share promising practices for ERPO implementation.

At Joyce Convening of GVP Advocates, facilitated a panel on funding updates under BSCA, including with one of the ERC's SMEs, to share information on ERPO funding for implementation and promising practices.

Discussion with GVP consultant in DC regarding petitioners in the District and promising practices for physicians petitioning for ERPO, overcoming obstacles.

Received inquiry from individual at the DC Office of the Attorney General (DCOAG) and DC Volunteer Lawyers Project (DCVLP) regarding implementation challenges in DC.

After conducting and analyzing the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) stakeholder survey, a team consisting of staff members from the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) and the Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division held six community-based stakeholder groups across 3 counties to gather input on state and county priorities. Throughout the focus groups, stakeholders provided insights based on their various roles and perspectives to help inform funding decisions for the FY24-28 strategic plan.

Julianne B. Dunn (Program Officer, Rural LISC) presented in the session. The session introduced the Rural LISC program to RVCRI partners. Through this presentation, participants learned about the Rural LISC approach to community and economic development, as well as heard about recent, relevant projects from the field.

LISC participated in the second "Rural Roundtable" peer learning event, this time hosted by NPI. The focused topic included drug trafficking enforcement strategies.

LISC hosted the first "Rural Roundtable" peer learning event for the RVCRI cohort. This inaugural event covered BJA grant management practices (many RVCRI grantees are first time federal awardees) along with an opportunity to hear from a select number of peers on their work. LISC and NPI will alternate co-hosting duties for this event moving forward.
