Accomplished by telephone, zoom meetings on January 20, 2024, and March 5, 2024, providing 7 hours of individual TTA with Staff, to draft Judicial, Domestic Relations and Public Safety Codes and certificate of adoptions.

The East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office (EBRDA) hosted five sites for a unique peer exchange in which both prosecutor’s/district attorney’s office representatives and their crime analysts learned how they can collaborate and leverage their role in analytics to improve clearance rates. The EBRDA presented on how data is used in all aspects of its work: violent crime, opioids, juvenile group violence intervention, intimate partner violence, and bail/bond recommendations.

Held on August 23, 2024 in collaboration with our training and technical assistance partners – the National Judicial College (NJC). The Violence Against Women Act requires states, tribes and territories to provide full faith and credit for each other’s protection orders on domestic violence and child welfare. Such orders may relate to criminal cases connected to the Tribe or its members. States and tribes have pursued a variety of paths to ensure full faith and credit enforcement. Some states have enacted statutes explicitly recognizing tribal judge protection orders.
