Meeting with site after referral from NACDL to gauge whether they are an appropriate fit for this project. Site is looking to improve the experience of those with mental illness or cognitive delays as they are brought into the legal system (e.g., reduce delays in removal from corrections to state hospital when found incomptent to stand trial, find ways to identify those with serious mental illness who have been arrested prior to their decompensation in jail, provide more "off-ramps" out of the criminal legal process for those with these issues, etc.).
