Vera TTA coaches conducted a monthly call with grantee to discuss planning and implementation of IAR SCA grant project.
Grantee contacted BJA regarding use of grant funding to receive training on post-overdose outreach. BJA connected grantee with CHJ to assess what level of support they were requesting that could be provided through COSSAP. It was determined that the request was outside the scope of COSSAP TTA and that they could use their grant funding for the external training.
Provision of faculty for the Cocaine, Meth and Stimulant Summit. Deliver session specific to tribal responses to stimulants, including youth prevention measures and multidisciplinary and multijurisdictional collaboration.
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) was present in Detroit to attend a prosecution-related conference and requested to visit the Detroit CGIC to check in on the progress since the onsite visit in 2019. The visit included a tour of the Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) and its role in the CGIC, a visit with the NIBIN Unit, and participation in scheduled NIBIN-related meetings. Kerry Yerico attended the site visit to represent the NRTAC team.
Given the no-cost extension for the Houston CGIC through September 2023 and the onboarding of new executive-level personnel in charge of the CGIC initiative, Houston Police Department and NRTAC requested an onsite visit and assessment of the current Houston CGIC operation. Kerry Yerico and Kevin Armbruster visited the Houston CGIC. The goal of the tour was to introduce HPD and ATF’s new executive leadership to the support role of NRTAC, as well as to assess the current state of the CGIC.
The National Police Foundation’s NRTAC team will provide ongoing training and technical assistance support for the implementation and development of the Columbia (SC) crime gun intelligence center.
