Representatives from three of the five CTI Demonstration Sites were chosen by their leadership to attend the Professionalizing Law Enforcement - Community Engagement Training (PLECET) event in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity was a peer learning experience where the selected individuals were given a curated workshop relevant to the agency's Community Trust Initiative application, subsequent monthly check-ins, and quarterly all-sites calls.

In 1995, C.O.P.S. began offering the highly-acclaimed trainings called “Traumas of Law Enforcement” to prepare law enforcement agencies to provide counseling and peer support following line-of-duty deaths and other law enforcement tragedies such as disability and suicide. An extensive curriculum on death notification, handling a line-of-duty death, law enforcement suicide, the emotionally affected officer, and the disabled officer are all taught at these trainings. In 2019, we began making peer support and counseling referrals available to the officers attending the training.

In compliance with our BJA funding agreement, the NTCRC attended All Rise's RISE24 conference in-person in Anaheim, CA, sponsoring a booth at the exhibitor level. NTCRC staff traveled by plane and shipped materials to distribute at the booth. Eight full-time staff members attended the conference from Tuesday, May 22 to Friday, May 25. Staff were present at the booth for two and a half days to network with attendees, answer questions, and demonstrate resources available from the NTCRC.
