During the July - December 2018 reporting period, in preparation for the 2019 PSP Symposium and in consultation with BJA, IIR began extensive exploration of potential cities and facilities to hold the 2019 PSP Symposium. IIR conducted a widespread search of numerous PSP cities’ local hotels and convention centers for availability in September 2019, giving consideration to cost, accessibility, local transportation, number and size of meeting rooms, access to area restaurants, and more.

NACDL will conduct an in-person, one-day training for at least 150 defense attorneys on litigating post-conviction claims of innocence. The goal of this training is to increase the ability of attorneys representing individuals in post-conviction proceedings to efficiently and effectively evaluate and litigate cases involving claims of innocence.

The Destination Zero program is designed to help agencies improve the health and safety of law enforcement officers across the country, from agent to correctional officer, from trooper to patrolman, from sheriff to constable; Destination Zero is searching for programs that benefit all.

The primary goal of the Destination Zero program is to create a platform that provides all U.S. law enforcement agencies with the ability to research successful and/or promising officer safety and wellness programs and identify the resources necessary to begin their own risk management initiatives.

This meeting served as an orientation for the FY17 JMHCP Category 3 grantee cohort. The meeting provided the opportunity for grantee representatives to meet CSG Justice Center TA providers, as well as facilitated in-person training, technical assistance, and strategic planning.

This training builds on a training held in October 2017 that brought prosecutors from 14 jurisdictions together to improve the quality and outcome of violent crime investigations through the review of current research and the identification of best practices for multidisciplinary collaboration among law enforcement, prosecutors and others through all phases of the investigation and prosecution. This training brings together the law enforcement counterpart from each of the same 14 jurisdictions to continue the dialog and sharing of information with the same overall goal:
