This one-day tribal training brings together tribal law enforcement, tribal leaders and community stakeholders to address the issue of human trafficking in Indian Country. The unique, independent structure of native communities contributes to complex cultural and jurisdictional issues for tribal, state, and federal law enforcement agencies combating these crimes.
In collaboration with BJA, the Communications and Dissemination Committee will plan a two-day change agent meeting for state, local, and tribal leaders and innovators in law enforcement and prosecution. The convening will focus on topics such as information sharing between justice agencies and MI and IDD service delivery systems; technology solutions; matching service availability with population needs; and appropriate diversion opportunities.
A roundtable discussion to foster understanding of comprehensive, placed-based initiatives like the Innovations for Community-Based Crime Reduction fit in the universe of evidence-informed violence reduction approaches is important to help BJA and LISC make better decisions about site selection, technical assistance services and program development.
The National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), with the support of BJA funding, will be facilitating the 2018 States of the States Cybercrime Consortium Meeting August 22–23, 2018 at the Thryv Hotel and Conference Center in Dallas, Texas.
This meeting will give CBCR LE partners the opportunity to discuss program priorities and strategies with peers, experts and federal staff.
