In April 2024, PDMP TTAC staff members developed a PDMP assessment tool and distributed it to PDMP administrators for completion. Topics covered in the assessment were developed with input from federal, state, and other partners and covered various capabilities and policies of PDMPs. The deadline for completion of the assessment was May 17, 2024, with 93 percent of the PDMP administrators responding. PDMP TTAC staff members are drafting a summary document on the results, titled “PDMP Policies and Capabilities: Results From 2024 State Assessment.”

These activities help identify potential resources and TTA needs as PDMPs evolve, allowing the PDMP TTAC team to proactively develop and provide the most efficient and effective methods of delivery.
