The PRC OAS Team conducted a webinar that demonstrated the Online Audit System from an auditor's perspective. The webinar covered various topics such as reviewing the information provided by the facility in the PAQ and Supplemental Files, generating and using the Issue Log, responding to provision findings, making compliance determinations, completing the Post-Audit Reporting Information section, and submitting the Auditor Compliance Tool. Additionally, the team shared some useful tips and tricks to improve efficiency while using the OAS.

The Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators (CJJA) hosts a bi-monthly meeting for the members of it's PREA Committee. Those are primarily PREA Coordinators from member agencies in CJJA. The PRC works collaboratively with CJJA to identify speakers to provide training during these meetings and answer relevant questions related to the implementation of the PREA standards.

The PRC hosted a virtual Auditor Refresher training with a webinar on a variety of topics for auditors including conducting interviews with incarcerated people and staff, and how incorporating a trauma-informed approach can improve the outcome of these interviews. There was also a small group breakout activity following the session where auditors could reflect on key points from the session and also share interview techniques with their peers.

The second quarter PREA Auditor Continuing Education event for 2025 was held on June 11, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. EST. The feature presentation was entitled The PREA Audit Site Review: Overview of Best Practices, Tips, Resources and Practical Considerations for Conducting Effective Site Reviews that featured PRC faculty: Erica Gammill, Talia Huff, Sydney Lofton, and Tracy Hill along with certified auditors Kristi Dietz and Asghar Mallick. The event included small group discussions of site review challenges and best practices with a report out from each group to the full group.

The first PREA Auditor Continuing Education event of 2024 was held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. The feature presentation was entitled The Meaning of Institutionalizing Practices Related to the PREA Standards and How Auditors Effectively and Accurately Determine Institutionalization. PRC faculty included Dana Shoenberg, Marion Morgan, Welcome Rose, and Talia Huff. The event included small group discussion of institutionalization scenarios with a report out from each group to the full group.
