The Lindon, Utah Police Department requested VALOR Training. BJA NTTAC referred this request to the Institute for Intergovernmental Research.
Lindon is uniquely situated between two communities with higher than average levels of violent crime. With two major thoroughfares connecting those communities, a large number of criminals make their way through our small jurisdiction. Because we are smaller geographically, we are smaller in staffing numbers. While this means our officers cover a larger variety of types of calls for service, we want to ensure that their skills stay sharp by offering training that enhances their already broad skill sets. Additionally, we want to ensure that our officers stay safe as they patrol our community and reduce the amount of violent crime that occurs here.

By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
