Assisted in NV DCFS obtaining a no-cost extension. Reviewed the PPT for PREA Convening. Provided support and feedback on the PREA Risk Assessment Validation process and the Girls Health Screen expansion to PC.

Coaching have been supporting the agency in their NCE application and planning for the additional year, particularly around their training goals.
Assisted the grantee in planning for the remainder of their project goals.

We finalized their implementation guide and were simply awaiting their approval in order for them to go ahead and submit.

The coaches conducted an on-site visit to this agency in late April 2023. The on-site visit was intended to assist the agency in its review and revision of its grant strategies so that these strategies can better align with the agency?s PREA grant goals and what needs to be done to prepare for PREA audits.

Overall discussion and assistance with the drafting of implementation plan and timeline documentation. Regular check-ins regarding upcoming training and the PREA Coordinators Conference.

The coaches did a tour of all the facilities and met with key staff. The coaches also interviewed a number of staff members, incarcerated LGBTI people, and facilitated a discussion group with incarcerated transgender women to identify gaps in the safety for LGBTI people in Harris County.
The coaches have checked in with the grantee once a month via video call and they have communicated regularly via e-mail regarding Harris County's implementation activities and did a site visit in March.
